Wedding breakfast music has become increasingly popular over the past ten years. In this article I will explain the benefits of having music at your wedding breakfast.

Why have Wedding Breakfast music?

During a Wedding breakfast, the venue will usually play a CD. This is usually of their choice which you may or may not like. Unfortunately, this is then repeatedly played during the breakfast, at varying levels of volume. This isn’t satisfactory and worse still possibly include songs which don’t like! The sound systems used by venues is generally of a poor quality and the sound can frequently become distorted.

Wedding breakfast music should create ambience, and allows you to select the music you want throughout the reception, whilst being in control of what is being played and the level of volume. It will allow a seamless transition between the wedding breakfast and the evening reception. You and your guests would want to enjoy wedding reception music.

The music can be played outside or inside the venue for example on a lawn or patio area, or partly situated in a different room and relayed through using Bluetooth technology.

What I provide

I can create a pre-mixed set full of music that you and your guests want. Maybe it’s that special song that was played on your first holiday. Possibly some family favourites etc. Whatever you would like, I can provide those special tunes for your wedding breakfast music, and work with you to ensure the music will be perfect for you and your guests.

It’s the perfect opportunity to ensure all favourites are played across your day not being limited to tracks to get people dancing.

How Much Does this cost?

The cost is a lot less than you may think.

As I will already be at the venue, I will only charge you for my additional time and nothing else.

Typically, 3 hours costs a fixed fee of £150, which represents great value. Included in the fee is complimentary use of professional wireless microphones for your important wedding speeches.

I offer a free wedding consultation meeting . I would be delighted to discuss your special day further with you.

Enjoy Wedding Breakfast Music – An example of timings

Paul & Emily were married at Dunston Hall near Norwich in July 2023 and decided to have ceremony & wedding breakfast music, followed by a full disco at their evening reception. I provided a full package for their special day and it was absolutely wonderful!

Ceremony Music

Inside the ceremony room 11.30-12.00

This entailed arriving early and playing music as their guests entered the room, and then a special song for the bride as she walked down the ‘isle’. Finally I played 2 songs after the ceremony.

Wedding Breakfast Music

On the lawn & then inside the marquee 12:15 – 18:00

The bride & broom enjoyed drinks & canapés with their guests in the sunshine immediately after the ceremony. The music was chosen by the happy couple but they asked for my advice to ensure it was just right for their requirements.

At 15:00 the wedding party moved into the marquee an enjoyed their wedding breakfast. Playing in the background was music of their choice which include Westlife, Savage Garden & the Lighthouse family. I paused the music at 18:00 at the wedding party then gave their speeches. I provided a professional wireless microphone, which I included in their package.

Evening Reception

18:30 – Midnight

There was a seamless transition into the evening reception. Paul & Emily requested initially some Frank Sinatra jus for the first hour. The Bride & Grooms traditional first dance of the evening then followed before the party really took off for the evening, with a full dance through until midnight.
