30 Years of DJ Experience Matters
I have been a Wedding & Party DJ in Norwich, Norfolk & Suffolk since the age of 15. I started in 1983. Since then I have collected a substantial amount of vast experience through knowledge of music, etiquette and venues throughout the region. I have the communication skills required to ensure your function is a success.

Knowing what song should follow a floor filling tune takes years of practice and skill. I hear many stories of inexperienced DJ’s not understanding or refusing to play types of music.

It is my view that a professional wedding DJ should have a minimum of 10 years of experience to operate at the top level and give you the customer the best possible service.
Reliability – Book an experienced reliable DJ
Book an experienced reliable DJ. It’s an awful thought, but many people tell me of horror stories of their DJ not turning up or arriving late, spoiling their event. Many DJ’s unfortunately will let you down at short notice.
Will your DJ offer an early set up option? I would recommend this option, particularly for wedding receptions and marquee events, and saves time later in the day. Many DJ’s will not do this.
By booking me, you have total peace of mind. I arrive at least 90mins before your function will start. I also carry spare equipment should it ever be needed. My van has full business breakdown cover and is regularly & professionally serviced.
Do You Know Your DJ?
You need to know who is actually DJing your event? That’s why you should book an experienced reliable DJ.
If you are booking through a company or an agency, there is a high possibility that you will not know who your DJ is beforehand, whether they are suitable for your event or not having possibility of meeting them.
Book your wedding or party disco with me, and I’d be delighted to meet you beforehand and discuss your special occasion, provide references and answer any questions you might have.
Dressing for the Event
I will discuss with you the dress code for your event. For example, I am happy to wear a tuxedo for your wedding or corporate event, or theme dress for an 80’s night.
I hear stories of DJ’s turning up in old jeans and trainers for weddings, which is totally unacceptable.
Cheap DJs
Book an experienced reliable DJ. Usually when someone is offering a very cheap price, it’s for a reason. Maybe they use old unreliable equipment, they don’t have business insurance, insufficient experience or will drop you when a better paid job comes in. Would you really want to risk your wedding reception or party in this way for a few £’s?
In relative terms, there is not a huge difference in price. My advice is to book an experienced reliable DJ such as me to avoid the lottery of someone who is unreliable or will ruin your evening.
Agents
Book an experienced reliable DJ. Many people book a DJ through an agent. There are many reputable agents out there, but the disadvantage for you their customer is that you won’t know which DJ you are getting. You won’t be able to have regular contact with them, nor meet them at the venue and a large chunk of your payment ends up with the agent not your DJ. I would be cautious going down this route.
